This offering is for any qualified person who has a sincere desire to be a professional electrician. This five year program consists of a classroom study, required mandatory attendance for a minimum of 190 hours per year. The apprentice is also required to work on the job with a signatory contractor for a minimum of 8000 hours over the five year period of apprenticeship. The apprentice will get paid while working on the job at a predetermined percentage of the journeyman rate. Union membership will be granted after a one year successfully completed probationary period. Health benefits will be available, the first of the month following 45 days of work.
